Garden Sculpture - River

"River" is a flat, vertical garden sculpture crafted from hand-cut aluminum circles, each one pierced with organic openings that echo the look of water bubbling and breaking over stones. Linked together in a loose, meandering chain, the circles form a continuous surface that can be gently shaped to curve, bend, or pool—mirroring the ever-shifting path of a real river.

Though made of metal, “River” behaves like something alive—flowing over earth, nestling into crevices, or gliding across a garden’s edge. Its openwork structure allows light and air to pass through, creating patterns that shimmer like sunlight dancing on water.

The sculpture invites touch and reformation, letting each installation find its own course—just as a river does. Whether stretched long like a stream or gathered in loops like an eddy, “River” brings a quiet sense of motion and the meditative rhythm of moving water to any outdoor space.
