Garden Sculpture - Eddy

"Eddy" is a fluid garden sculpture formed from sheet aluminum, designed to capture the quiet motion of a swirling current. Overlapping wave forms curl around a central circular shape, evoking the graceful spin of water caught in motion. Along one arc of the circle, a semi-ring of delicate perforations suggests sea foam rising as the eddy turns—light, airy, and full of texture.

But look again, and a new image may emerge. The sweeping curves and open forms can also suggest the shape of a bird in motion—wings outstretched, caught mid-glide above the sea. In this way, "Eddy" balances between earth, water, and sky, inviting each viewer to find their own meaning in its form.

Whether seen as current or creature, movement or stillness, “Eddy” offers a moment of pause—a sculptural reflection of nature’s layered, shifting beauty.
